Reboot
Twelve years ago I stopped writing my blog. I’d started it when living in France, and loved using it to keep friends and family up to date with what life was like in Paris and the Champagne region. Social media hadn’t really taken off yet and the blog also introduced me to a whole new lovely bunch of people scattered around the world who were also blogging.
Whilst other people have used the arrival of their kids as the launchpad to a whole new social content stream, I realised I didn’t want to use my blog to share my kids. (Despite them being a deep mine of potential content as I navigated the highs and lows of bringing up children in a provincial French city and the genuine love I had for my new home and life).
So, two children, over a decade and a move back to the UK later, I’ve decided now is the time to set myself up to blog again.
Yes, I do twitter (badly), yes I do instagram (intermittently) but I’ve set this up with the option (not the promise) of more writing.
I am back living in my home town (after 20 years away), so this is not a chronicle of my daily life. But I am still curious, I am also going through a career shift and this might be the place to share what I’m curious about.
So, let’s see if I can get another post together in less than a dozen years this time. (I am also trying to get to grips with WordPress, so go easy…. ).
